For more than 25 years Peggy Eastman’s SportStyle has provided women with just the right clothing – for work, vacation, casual days, beach time or weddings. Styles range from “banker-ready” classics to everyday skirts and tops to sporty. They carry French Dressing Jeans, Not Your Daughter’s and Blue Willies Jeans, Eileen Fisher, Pure & Co. – a line of hand-knit sweaters, Nic & Zoe, to name a few. SportStyle also has belts, handbags, Spanx and jewelry (including the popular Brighton line).

Peggy designed the iconic airy and well-lit 9000 square foot store in 1989 after moving from Shelburne. She smartly keeps the thousands of bathing suits on the second floor. A children’s play area near the dressing rooms is a nice touch.

SportStyle employees think of their customers as neighbors and friends (often they are). Manager Alicia Apgar and the rest of the crew are not only well trained, they have good people-sense. They are subtly available in the background and provide just as much guidance as you want. They are honest in assessing how an outfit looks and might suggest “something better” – which they will bring to you.

Bring in a fragment of an outfit and they’ll complete it for you. Bring in your whole closet and they’ll help you decide what to keep and what to toss – and what to add to complement what’s left.
