Gadue’s Dry Cleaning is both an environmentally friendly cleaning factory and a boutique cleaner – and they have a strong belief in giving back to the community. Last winter their Coats for Kids project redistributed 2500 donated winter garments (Gadue’s cleans them first). This fall they purchased 240 backpacks, collected school supplies from employees and clients, and delivered them to area children who needed them.

Aline Gadue Stirling is the third generation President of a company purchased by her grandparents in 1975 – starting out with a single One Hour Martinizing shop in Burlington. Her dad, Mark Gadue, joined his mother to help out after his father died, never intending to make a career out of it – then he bought the store from his mother and renamed it Gadue’s Dry Cleaning. They now have 8 locations in the Burlington area including an 8500 square foot highly automated facility in Colchester built in 2002. The Colchester plant has every possible technology and feature to minimize its environmental impact.

Every item is bar-coded and tracked throughout the cleaning process. In fact, there are 30 years of records of every load that has been dry cleaned! The Colchester plant processes over 1000 items a day. Every dry cleaning item is inspected 15 times before the client gets it back, and Gadue’s promises no missing or broken buttons. As a Gadue’s client, you are always protected by their guarantee: your items will be ready on time, ready to wear, or you don’t pay.

Special services provided include home or office pick up and delivery, alterations and repairs, and shoe shining.
