There’s no doubt your dog or cat will be pleased if you shop at Animal Crackers. The Vermont-made treats and toys collection is extensive and fun, ranging from Catviar to elevated dog feeders to Andy’s Dandys doggie delights (they smell yummy!). Does your dog wolf down his food? Get a VT-made Treatstik that slowly releases food as the dog plays with it.

Purchased in 2008 by Wendy Ballah, Animal Crackers is family-owned and operated. You’ll see that the store supports several local groups, including the Chittenden County Humane Society.

Animal Crackers stocks both dry and canned food – go to the website for a listing. While online, also notice their “frequent buyers” club which offers discounts. Grooming services include “de-skunking” and they will even pick up and deliver your pets (for a fee) if you are unable to bring them to the store – just be sure to make an appointment.

Animal Crackers believes in “humanity before vanity” – if you or your pet are unable to maintain grooming, they will recommend a shorter, more manageable cut. Their focus is on the pet’s comfort and health, as it should be.
